This red wine grape is predominantly grown in France, followed in a close second by Australia, where it is known as Shiraz. Flavors of savory plum, olive and green peppercorn.
Chateau Ste. Michelle
Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle pioneered vinifera grape growing in Washington state and has been producing class European varietal wines under the Chateau Ste. Michelle label since 1967.
Columbia Valley
Grapes were sourced from vineyards in the Wahluke Slope, Horse Heaven Hills, Columbia Valley, Rattlesnake Hills and Yakima Valley AVAs. Syrah is well suited to eastern Washington’s long, warm growing season, resulting in ideal ripeness and complexity.
