Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon: Napa Valley in California is one of the world’s famous wine regions for growing its signature grape, the Cabernet Sauvignon, and for producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons, most sought after wines in the world.
The 2015 vintage of Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon is a rare wine only 15,000 cases were produced. It’s built to age and would be a great addition to your wine collection. But if you must enjoy it, be sure to open and let it air or decant for a few minutes before pouring for the best experience.
This fine Napa Valley wine is big, sassy and after aging it for 18 months in French and American oak, it shows off concentrated juicy raspberry and plum notes with underlying perfume and cedar. Broad, round tannins with a touch of vanilla on the finish. It’s the perfect pairing for Prime Rib of beef, Hardwood grilled tri-tip with chimichurri and roast fingerling potatoes, grilled lamb chops, roast leg of lamb with spring vegetables, wild mushroom and feta.
INTRINSIC Cabernet Sauvignon :
From the bottle: “Street art bears an uncanny resemblance to winemaking. For both, the environment affects the final art, resulting in a collaboration between artist and landscape.”
INTRINSIC wines are like a piece of art. They’re very unique in the way they were made. In typical winemaking, red wines are produced by crushing the grapes, then leaving the juice and the skins together for a week to one month. For the Intrinsic wines, the winemaker decided to push this process to an astonishing 9 months for 50% of the wine to help bring out the “intrinsic” qualities of the grapes as in “reaching out to the grapes and getting more from them”, thus the name INTRINSIC. The result was entirely a different kind of wine; a Cabernet Sauvignon with a wonderful floral nose, complemented by aromas of cherry and leather. The flavors are layered with tones of blueberry jam, pomegranate and chocolate. The texture is rustic, yet silky, with a unique savory and inviting finish and pairs nicely with grilled meats such as lamb, beef, pork, and seared vegetables. The bottle itself is a piece of art with the beautiful “lady in red” label it makes for an impressive gift or as an addition to your wine collection.
INTRINSIC Red Blend : is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, made in similar style as Intrinsic Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine blend opens with refined notes of raspberry, white tea leaves, a hint of fresh mint and lavender. The flavors are layered with milk chocolate, fig reduction, dark plum and licorice root, and the texture is angular, yet sophisticated, with chocolate ganache details in the finish. It pairs nicely with beef, citrus marinated pork, sandwiches, beef and pork meatballs.
Canon 13 Pinot Noir: Some of the best Pinot Noir wine comes from California and finding the right Pinot Noir is tough as Pinot Noir grape is also one of the most difficult variety to grow and transform into wine. Perhaps the single most important thing in the production of Pinot Noir is the place (site/terroir) where it’s produced as that dictates its potential for quality and uniqueness. Canon 13 Pinot Noir grown and produced in Santa Lucia highlands has a very unique taste and quality, typical of Pinot Noirs from this region of California. This savory, juicy Pinot Noir expresses aromas of ripe fruit and delicate tea leaves, it gives a generous amount of sweet spice, bright acidity and a hint of earthiness. A great bottle to share with someone or pair with your mushroom dishes.
